There comes a time in everyone’s life and business where we have to make the really tough decisions for ourselves and for the people we serve.
Last year we held an exceptional event which provided a ton of value to all of our guests and attendees, and we were committed to delivering that caliber (and better) for this year’s event. We built community, brought in speakers, partners and guests from all over the world.
My partners and I worked tirelessly over the past several months to put together an event that we thought would add value to you, but unfortunately have fallen short.
After countless setbacks we reached a point where we realized we wouldn’t be able to give you, our community, our partners, our speakers, and guests the best possible experience. So, we’ve decided to make the very tough call of cancelling this year’s event and focusing for what’s to come in the future.
We aren’t willing to sacrifice your experience just to make money.
We aren’t willing to put on “just another event” if it’s not aligned with our core values, our mission and the impact we want to have in the world.
We hope you remain loyal to the Real Talk Summit and the mission we have in our community and the world.
I hope these actions serve as a light and a reminder that business IS deeply personal, that people are flawed, and how we navigate these waters make us who we are.
Thank you for being a part of this community.
Thank you for wanting to join us.
Thank you for serving the people, businesses, and communities you serve.
To Your Success,
Connor Beaton

Chip Wilson is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. As the founder of the yoga-inspired clothing company lululemon athletica, Chip is a globally recognized innovator in the field of technical apparel and widely credited with starting the “athleisure” retail category, now a $100-billion-a year global business.
Today, Chip is actively involved in Hold It All, a multifaceted organization with businesses falling under five categories: apparel, real estate, philanthropy, active private equity and passive investments. All share the principles of design, ingenuity, people development and making functional beautiful.
Chip’s function-over-fashion approach lead him to start his first retail apparel company, Westbeach, in 1979. Westbeach evolved from a skate/surf company to become Westbeach Snowboarding Ltd. and grew to a globally recognized brand in the snowboarding community.
A year after selling Westbeach, Chip settled in Vancouver’s Kitsilano neighborhood where he identified another athletic shift—the growing popularity of yoga. In 1998, Chip founded lululemon athletica and brought to market the best stretchy black pants that the world has ever seen.
At lululemon, Chip became known for his people-before-product leadership approach. He surrounded himself with like-minded individuals; creative, driven, athletic locals with a love for work-life balance inspired by the West Coast. This cohesive culture fueled the innovation and growth of the brand.

The thing about Real Talk Summit is that there’s no abstract advice. It’s not about inspiring people to become entrepreneurs. It’s about helping people ask the right questions so they start their own businesses for the right reasons and succeed both personally and professionally.
– Daily Hive
During the Real Talk Summit, attendees can expect to hear from well-established entrepreneurs that cut through the fluff and provide the true story of their success. It’s not about telling people what they want to hear, but more about what you need to hear.
– Influencive
Whenever you can immerse yourself in a situation that empowers you like the Real Talk Summit did, it breaths new life into you. It shows you a new path to embark on in your life or business and makes you realize that everyone has to start somewhere
